Our History

Ty Fi Direct Care Ltd is a small family run care agency based in Llanelli which became established when it was recognised that there was a real need for local support. Ty Fi Direct Care Ltd wanted to provide a good quality service and allow the service user to decide how they want their support to be delivered, and its proven to have been successful. Unfortunately due to restraints upon social services, this was not being offered to the Service User and all too often they were being rushed or de-skilled. A mission began – to gather together a select team of experienced, skilled and knowledgeable staff who can provide the high level of service that Ty Fi Direct Care Ltd wanted to deliver.

We offer support in Llanelli and surrounding villages; we also provide an alternative to residential/nursing care with ‘Live in support staff’ in Wales who work with the service user and family on supporting adults to live at home. The company is registered with the Care and Social Services Inspectorate for Wales since September 2015.

We provide person-centred careplans which is built specifically around the needs of the individual/family and not time related.

Our Team

Devena Haskell has taken up the role of care manager with Ty Fi Direct and is excited to have joined a team with the same beliefs.

From 24yrs personal experience of caring for my son I have gained experience and knowledge in  Advice/information on resources/support networks which may/not be available to meet identified needs. I have extensive knowledge of managing a business after thirty five years of experience in office management and administration in the civil service, with the overall responsibility of a county court office.

We have a friendly team of staff all of whom have had personal experience and understand fully how they would like their own family member to be treated. Our aim is to support the individual to maintain control of their own independence.”

We have a very experienced team of mature support staff who believe in the same principles of providing a person centred delivery of care and support, with over forty years of social care experience of providing support in the service users home, to maintain and promote independent living skills.

Our team is fully aware of any changes within Social Care and the need to identify suitable alternatives to support funded by the Public Sector and can offer additional advice and support on accessing Independent Living Fund, Direct Payments or any other benefits which may be beneficial to the Service User.
